CALL for APPLICATION for GRANTS

TO ATTEND THE 6TH CONVENTION

GARNET NETWORK OF EXCELLENCE

ê³êówish to announce, as a result of small number of applications re-opening of call for applications to receive a grant to participate at the 6th

CEEISA Convention in Cooperation with GARNET Network of Excellence. Owing to the

generous contribution of the Visegrad Fund, we are able to award several grants to scholars

from a number of eligible countries listed below. In principle, each grant will cover travel

expenses and accommodation. In case of multiple applications for grants, the main criterion

for the selection shall be the quality of research background. Applicants are encouraged

to seek the cheapest possible means of travel to the Convention venue, as this may be an

additional criterion in the selection procedure. Scholars from the following eligible countries

may apply: the Czech Republic (1 grant), Hungary (2 grants), Poland (2 grants), Russia (1

grant), Slovakia (1 grant), and Ukraine (2 grants).

Eligible applicants should send their CV on or before 31 March 2007,

to Zlatko Sabic by email, on ceeisa@yahoo.com. Please type VISEGRAD GRANT in the

Subject line of your email message. Successful applicants will be informed about the award

by the end of April. Decisions on the allocation of grants are final and are not subject to an

appeal. Grantees must reply on the same email address within 7 days from receiving the

information about the grant whether they wish to accept it. If we do not receive a reply

within 7 days, the grant will be allocated to another applicant.

Dear Colleagues,

It gives me a great pleasure to announce additional four grants for scholars from the former

Soviet Union who wish to participate in the 6th CEEISA Convention in Cooperation with

GARNET Network of Excellence, organized by the Institute of International Relations at the

University of Wroclaw. These grants have been made possible by generous support from

the Rector of the Wroclaw University, prof. dr hab. Leszek Pacholski. On behalf of all the

organizers of this Convention, I express my highest appreciation for his commitment to the

conference and a sincere desire to enhance the widest possible participation of our colleagues

from the aforementioned area.

Thus, we are able to award up to four (4) grants, covering travel and accommodation. Eligible

applicants should send their CV and a paper proposal on or before 12 February 2007, to

Zlatko Sabic by email, on ceeisa@yahoo.com. Please type RECTOR’S GRANT into the

Subject line of your email message. Successful applicants will be informed about the award
